Daniel's adventures in lockdown!

Daniel enjoys riding his scooter, playing Roblox on his device with his little sister and doing the stacking cups game. He also enjoyed dressing up for Halloween on the weekend. Rm 24 Google Meet

Yesterday afternoon we had the best turnout at our 2pm Google Meet of 12 children and 2 support staff online. Can you see yourself and your friends? We talked about who has a "Pop It" at their house and we showed them to each other... This is Mrs Carter's rainbow teddy one!

Home learning pack

Daniel has been super busy doing reading, writing and maths work from his learning pack he received in the letterbox. Look at all of his mahi! Keep up the great work from Mrs Carter.

Online Learning progress!

Daniel has been writing his own stories at home during lockdown. Each week he has been practising his writing and his sentences are getting longer. Rm 24 Google Meet

This week we are meeting with our own classes at 2 o'clock in the afternoon as our morning Team 2 Google Meets were getting busy and now everyone can have a turn to talk when they raise their hand and use GM4GM! ENGAGE fun!

Daniel enjoyed playing the Ball and Spoon race game with his friends in Rm 24 for Kiwisport in Term 3!

Well done Daniel for bringing healthy food to school. You chose a coconut to take home to share with your family.

Gymnastics in Term 2

For Kiwisport this term Coach Mel has taught us how to move and control a hoola hoop using one hand to spin it around. After lots of practice some of us got hte hang of it...This is really great for our large motor skills and hand - eye coordination as well.

Copy Me Game!

Daniel was able to quickly create this small structure using LEGO blocks to copy the same colours and pattern in this fun and challenging game using thinking skills. Well done from Mrs Carter.

My trip to Stardome!

Daniel enjoyed travelling by bus to Cornwall Park in Greenlane to visit the observatory. He learnt about how the sun and earth rotate around the earth to give us daytime and nightime. He liked the fun interactive activities and time at the playground with his friends. What did you like best?

Team Bollywood!

Daniel joined in learning new Indian dance moves as part of the Bollywood group for Fiafia! He did a great job getting up on stage and performing in front of the whole school including a large audience. I am so proud of your fantastic effort, well done from Mrs Carter.

Duffy award winner

Daniel was given a Duffy award at assembly for making a great improvement in writing. Well done from Mrs Carter.

Rippa Rugby skills!

Daniel really enjoyed learning how to pass and run with the ball and listened to Coach Cory for a special training sesssion at school.

Water safety in Term 1.

Daniel has enjoyed learning how to be safe in the water at the Glen Innes pools. He is able to collect the balls safely wearing a noodle around his tummy and is learning how to float on his front and back. Keep up the great work from Mrs Carter.

Making paper snakes!

Today I had fun folding two pieces of coloured paper and then glued them together to create this pretend snake. I learnt about over and under and repeating the pattern.

Reading star!

Daniel did some reading with Mrs Wilson today and he passed level Orange with good comprehension. Well done, from Mrs Carter.

PES Picnic!

Daniel enjoyed our walk to Pt England reserve, a shared lunch, playing on the beach and spending time with his new friend Braxton at the playground.
